Marketing Manager- Creative
Summary
Lidl US is searching for the next Marketing Manager- Creative to join our team! The Marketing Manager – Creative is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, within the framework of an existing brand strategy. The role oversees our In-House Production team, Graphic Designers, and works closely with other functions of the organization such as Employer Brand, Promotions, and Sales. The Marketing Manager- Creative is also responsible for overseeing our creative agencies and producing creative briefs for our agency partners.
**This position reports to our Headquarters in Arlington, VA on a hybrid 3-day work schedule.
What You’ll Do
• Effectively delegate and guide the work of other team members in accordance with Company principles and management model
• Implement and manage assigned programs, processes and initiatives through effective delegation and collaboration with stakeholders
• Analyze and evaluate current processes and projects for recommended optimization
• Manage the production of digital and printed communication
• Coordinate the appearance of marketing materials, ensuring adherence to brand style guides
• Work closely with internal teams, enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing them with best-in-class marketing support, marketing materials and programs
• Analyze competitors’ advertising activities
• Supervise, manage, and direct a team of designers
• Ensure deadlines and specifications are met
• Maintain internal folder organization so team and department can easily find creative materials
• Help organize and lead the day-to-day creative agency(s) workflow(s) and help provide recommendations for improvement as necessary
• Oversees creative invoices from vendors and agency partners
• Develops a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace in addition to our agency(s) various proposed media and distribution channels
• Communicates with external partners and vendors in a timely manor
• Creates detailed briefs for internal and external creative teams regarding various projects
• Provides detailed creative judgement by reviewing internal and external creative work to ensure assets properly reflect the brand
• Saves files and materials from external creative teams and shares with appropriate internal teams as needed
• Builds strong working relationships with agency(s) Account Director(s) and internal/external creative teams
• Drives collaboration with internal and external creative teams for cohesive work
• Assists in coaching internal and external creative teams on style guides and brand identity
• Contributes solutions based around understanding the business needs and initiatives
• Updates guidelines, standard operating procedures, and instructional materials
• Supports in national and international projects by producing business reports and identifying opportunities for success/improvement
• Assumes responsibility and demonstrates proactive and energetic working attitude
• Identify, develop, and propose opportunities for business and process improvement
What You’ll Need
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Proficient in Adobe Suite design programs (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Project management skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of the grocery and consumer goods sector
• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Retail, Business, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a related field
• In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
• Agency or in-house creative experience; directing advertising production schedules and developing and implementing marketing campaigns
