Summary

Lidl US is currently seeking a Senior Analyst - Employment Law (EEO Investigator) who will be responsible for assisting in internal investigations and analyzing the company’s compliance with employment laws and regulations. The Senior Analyst or EEO Investigator has a working knowledge of employment and labor law-related compliance and communicates updates or changes in laws to the team. The EEO Investigator will work with legal counsel to support employment litigation cases. This employee will be responsible for traveling (company car provided) and supporting our North East employees including: NY, NJ, PA, DE, and MD.

What You’ll Do

  • Support internal investigations by drafting investigation plans, preparing witness questions, conducting fact interviews, and maintaining case files 
  • Draft written investigation reports and summaries of findings detailing the outcome of the investigation 
  • Identify trends to produce strong business recommendations
  • Manage employment litigation tracking and draft responses to demand letters as well as federal and state agency employment complaints 
  • Research and analyze changes to employment laws and regulations 
  • Track allegations and develop analytics to discover trends to mitigate risk 
  • Manage reasonable suspicion testing and post-accident testing results 
  • Assist with Lidl's termination appeals process 
  • Conduct training on EEO-related compliance topics 

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations or related field
  • 3 - 5 years of human resources experience
  • In lieu of degree, a total number of 7+ years of experience will satisfy the above
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, HR best practices, and experience conducting employee investigations 
  • Working knowledge of employment litigation 
  • Excellent written, interpersonal communication, and organizations skills 
  • Ability to maintain discretion when handling confidential matters 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) 
  • PowerPoint presentation skills
