Sr.Specialist, Marketing Finance
Summary
The Sr.Specialist, Marketing Finance manages the marketing budget and vendor lifecycle. Working cross-functionally with Controlling, Accounting, and Legal, this role leads annual budget planning, invoice reconciliation, and the administration of contracts and MSAs. Primary responsibilities include conducting financial analyses (target vs. actual) to drive cost efficiencies and maintaining accurate vendor documentation. The position ensures transparency through proactive contract tracking, renewal management, and the meticulous documentation of negotiation outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Essential Functions
- Manages projects, work processes, systems, and/or procedures to ensure efficient workflow
- Update guidelines, standard operating procedures, and instructional materials
- Identify, develop, and propose opportunities for business and process improvement
- Support in national and international projects, producing business requirements, performing business system tests and technical improvements
- Manage and control the full marketing budget, including monthly/annual planning, rolling forecast and actualization by administering all orders and invoices
- Overall vendor management including onboarding new contracts (MSAs), payment processing, and documenting negotiation outcomes working with legal and compliance team
- Perform controllership and financial evaluations at cost category basis working with all marketing teams specifically conducting plan/actual comparisons, cost efficiency analysis to optimize spending
- Perform monthly media mix, working vs non-working, creative vs media data pull and provide insights to leadership including media manager, senior manager and other team members
- Support Media Manager with ongoing media forecast, invoice content check, media billing reconciliations and day to day plan vs actual insights
- Manage all marketing accounts and reporting activities for the Marketing department
- Prepares work to be processed by gathering, sorting, organizing, and recording data, information, and documents
- Prepare and present presentations to department stakeholders in relation to marketing cost, monthly performance and annual plan
- Lead marketing annual planning process in consultation with management and finance department
- Initiating, completing and monitoring meeting follow-up tasks as appropriate
- Timely preparation, quality assurance and distribution of standard reports to department and Finance/Accounting team
- Review and implement transparency of all Marketing revenue including vendor funding and cost items to management in a periodic basis
- Proactively communicate abnormalities and measures of revenue and cost items to leadership
- Monitor and analyze figures on a monthly basis highlighting variances with previous year and actuals

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-4 years of experience in Finance and/or Controlling
- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
Physical Job Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
