Summary

Lidl US is searching for the next Specialist - Sales Operations to join our team! The Specialist - Sales Operations supports and helps drive the development, planning, and coordination of projects, processes and solutions that support the store network in achieving its goals. This role analyzes data, performs critical research, identifies opportunities for KPI development, supports in preparing management decisions, develops and coordinates projects and communications to be implemented in the regional operational structure. This includes the standardization and simplification of sales operation processes, reporting, and implementation and coordination of new projects and concepts.

What You’ll Do

Essential Functions
•    Oversees and manages assigned project and/or departments data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements 
•    Conduct data entry and data management for various department projects
•    Assist with the development of training materials such as manuals, handbooks, presentations, diagrams, workflows, and project plans
•    Support in national and international projects, producing business requirements, performing business system tests and technical improvements 
•    Promote the importance of best practices within the company by developing, coordinating and implementing store procedures and efficient practices into the regional sales operations 
•    Work with internal departments throughout the organization to ensure training and procedure content is accurate and up to date 
•    Implement technical support systems that ensure efficient working methods and communication flow within sales operations 
•    Develop and maintain automated weekly reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) 
•    Analyze trends and anomalies in store KPIs to highlight underperforming areas or growth opportunities 
•    Provide data-driven recommendations to improve performance and support implementation  
•    Support the store operations team with on-demand analysis 
•    Regularly review reporting processes and tools to identify automation opportunities, reduce manual work, and improve turnaround time 
•    Prepare concise, insight-rich summaries for senior management, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities across stores and regions

What You’ll Need

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, or related software
•    Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive reporting dashboards using tools such as Power BI or Looker Studio and Advanced Excel or Sheets (including macro creation)
•    Proficient in conducting in-depth analysis of data to identify trends, investigate variances, and extract key business insights
•    Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, impactful management presentations (utilizing PowerPoint or Slides and Excel or Sheets or similar platforms)
•    Serve as the primary reporting function lead, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevancy of all recurring and ad-hoc reports
•    Ability to work independently

 

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience 
•    Bachelor’s degree 
•    1-3 years of experience in a related field
•    In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above

 

Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience 
•    Retail experience

 

Physical Job Requirements 
•    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
•    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

 

Travel Requirements
•    This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers up to 10% of the time
•    This position requires overnight domestic travel up to 5% of the time 
•    Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train
