Regional Sr. Manager of Real Estate (Carolinas)

Summary

Lidl US is seeking a Sr. Manager of Real Estate to support the Carolina expansion. The Sr. Manager will manage the real estate acquisition and development teams in the implementation of the regional real estate strategy. This role successfully delivers new site acquisitions and store entitlement & development within set timelines and budgets.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and provide oversight of the regional acquisition team through the site selection, negotiation, and reporting process
  • Prepare detailed budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action 
  • Document and report all regional real estate team activities to senior management 
  • Development and implementation of regional real estate strategy
  • Serve as brand ambassador for the company in the brokerage community and public settings
  • Conduct real estate drive tours with senior management
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful project results

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 4 - 6 years of experience in related field required 
  • In lieu of degree, 6 - 8 years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
  • Knowledge of real estate acquisition and lease process, real estate and contract law, retail real estate markets, real estate valuation, development entitlement processes for assigned regions, and best practices of real estate project management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in project management, budget management, and other customized software systems
  • This position requires overnight domestic travel up to 50% of the time
  • This position requires regional travel up to 75% of the time
  • Driver’s license
