Job Summary

Construction Manager works cross-functionally with a diverse group of stakeholders, managing existing store projects from GC bids negotiation, permitting and inspection, through construction and ultimately handing off to our store team. You will work closely with Operational teams and Facilities team to complete the store remodel. 


**This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers more than 50% of the time**
**This position requires overnight domestic travel more than 50% of the time**
**Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed**

What You’ll Do

  • Manage multiple renovation projects and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners including landlords, architects & engineers, store design team members, contractors and vendors
  • Create construction estimates for capital requests, and other planning efforts 
  • Create and track project budgets from initial site evaluation through project close out
  • Responsible for approval of developer/landlord building envelope delivery and schedule
  • Establish effective relationships along with an understanding of municipalities permit process and schedules
  • Responsible for on-site supervision during the construction remodel process to include management of General Contractors and Owner vendors

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Sciences, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Construction Management, Retail Construction, or Real Estate Operations
  • In lieu of, a combination of education and experience mentioned above will satisfy the degree and relevant experience required 
  • US Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, health and safety regulations and entitlement processes
  • Ability to work in situations that involve prolonged sitting, standing, walking, squatting and/or bending more than half the time
