QA Sensory Manager

Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager manages QA daily processes, executions, and staff and provides support to senior leadership on Sensory topics. The individual reviews performance trends, and opportunities, and takes continual action to improve the service level and quality of team member performance. The sensory manager will organize internal and external product tests, including organizing and checking sample planning, sample dispatch, external analytics, and the tasting process.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement and optimize the Lidl quality standards in conjunction with the business partners
  • Organize and check the processing of incoming product-related customer issues, including regular reporting, customer feedback and compensation and processing of product liability claims
  • Perform the daily risk assessment in the event of general product problems, critical customer complaints and supplier notifications 
  • Serve as technical support for purchasing regarding all quality-related questions
  • Monitor and assess relevant trends in the market
  • Control the further development and optimization of all processes in respect to product quality and safety, regarding the quality of the work results 
  • Serve as first point of contact for internal and external interfaces in the case of current questions and guidelines in relation to quality management, such as communication with authorities, customers, and suppliers

What You’ll Need

  • Master’s Degree in Food Science or related field; or
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; or
  • High school diploma/GED and 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of principles and methods of food science, physics, chemistry, and biology, consumer products regulations, production processes, and quality assurance practices, and retail industry
  • Ability to manage, support, train, and develop a team
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
