Purchasing Analyst

The Analyst - Purchasing (Non-Food Promotions) is responsible for bi-weekly pricing and marketing processes. The Analyst uses in depth competitive analysis to help determine retail prices and advertising initiatives. The role supports the Non-Food team by reporting on market data in relation to current sales trends and competitive promotional pricing in the retail field. Additionally, the Analyst maintains product information in a database and creates product descriptions.


What You’ll Do

  • Track and update bi-weekly retail price setting process
  • Responsible for bi-weekly marketing initiatives
  • Assist the manager in determining sales trends and competitive promotional pricing
  • Create product descriptions and generate translations based on product packaging
  • Monitor and carry out weekly communications to other departments
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously such as marketing initiatives and retail pricing
  • Carry out research, gather data and liaise with internal and external teams to source relevant data
  • Assist in improving processes and developing strategies within the team 
  • Find potential problems and provide solutions to Senior Management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office systems with advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • This position commutes between stores less than 25% of the time
