Procurement Specialist

Summary

The Specialist - Procurement assists the Procurement department with sourcing goods for Headquarters, Regional Distribution Center (RDC), and stores in accordance with legal and company compliance. The position is responsible for finding solutions for issues identified by internal business partners. The Special-ist is also responsible for assisting with projects and presentations within the department that may include modifying and executing new processes, and other projects as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Support research, analyses and cost calculations
  • Document tasks and properly retain files
  • Assist in creating presentations
  • Assist the procurement of assets or services
  • Perform periodic inspections at RDC or store locations
  • Maintain relationships with new or existing vendors and suppliers
  • Participate in furniture, fixture, new or exisiting equipment (FFE) testing for store use
  • Assist in requesting and compiling offers from vendors and suppliers
  • Support gathering and filing of contracts or other legal and compliance documents
  • Participate in quality assurance testing for products and services

What You’ll Need

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in related field, in lieu of degree, a total number of 2 years’ experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
  • Valid US Driver’s license required
  • This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers up to 25% of the time
  • Excellent time management, written, presentation, public speaking and communication skills
