Procurement Specialist

The Specialist - Procurement assists the Procurement department with sourcing goods for Headquarters, Regional Distribution Center (RDC), and stores in accordance with legal and company compliance. The position is responsible for finding solutions for issues identified by internal business partners. The Special-ist is also responsible for assisting with projects and presentations within the department that may include modifying and executing new processes, and other projects as needed.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the procurement of assets or services
  • Maintain relationships with new or existing vendors and suppliers
  •  Assist in requesting and compiling offers from vendors and suppliers
  • Perform periodic inspections at RDC or store locations
  • Gather data for cost and investment planning
  • Participate in furniture, fixture or equipment (FFE) testing for RDC and store use
  • Support company travel program, flights, hotels and car rental bookings
  •  Support gathering and filing of contracts or other legal and compliance documents
  • Participate in quality assurance testing for products and services
  •  Prepare for internal audits of documentation and processes
  • In addition to the tasks listed, the Owner of the reference position is obliged to execute individual orders, which arise from the operational necessity, on the instructions of the supervisor.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or related field
  •  1 – 2 years’ experience in related fieldRequired Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
  • In lieu of degree, a total number of 2 years’ experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
  •  Valid US Driver’s license required
  • Excellent, written, presentation, public speaking and communication skills
  • Effective prioritizing, organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
  •  Ability to work a variety of shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment, including the store(s), distribution center(s), warehouse(s), and/or corporate office(s) with the capability to switch job functions/roles quickly
  •  Ability to maneuver cases of product (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) up to 50 lbs. and reach above head to heights greater than 10 inches frequently in accordance with safety regulations
  • This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers up to 25% of the tim
