Summary

We are currently seeking a Procurement Consultant (Manager) for our Store Team who will be responsible for managing procurement topics for Headquarters, Regional Distribution Centers (RDC), and stores in accordance with legal and Lidl compliance. The Procurement Consultant collaborates with other departments to ensure feasible solutions are provided for issues identified. The position also includes the modification and creation of new processes, sourcing of new products and services, and managing relationships with new or existing vendors and suppliers. The successful candidate will report to the Sr. Procurement Manager for Store Team.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform research, analyses and cost calculations as well as evaluate offers from vendors and suppliers
  • Conduct negotiations, such as pricing, terms and conditions
  • Manage procurement and conduct testing of assets or services
  • Manage relationships with new or existing vendors and suppliers
  • Create and conduct presentations 
  • Monitor and execute updates to internal ordering system (ProShop)
  • Perform periodic inspections at RDC or store locations
  • Calculate and recommend cost and investment planning
  • Analyze processes and procedures for optimization opportunities

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management or related field required
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in related field required 
  • In lieu of degree, a total number of 6 years’ experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
  • Valid US Driver’s license required
  • Knowledge of procurement, forecasting and basic accounting
  • Excellent, written, presentation, public speaking and communication skills
  • Effective prioritizing, organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers less than 25% of the time
