Manager - Business Controlling

Summary

The Business Controlling Manager will provide support to executive management and operational departments with relevant key performance indicators for targeted management of all business processes within the company. The individual will act as a Business Partner and central contact point of contact for the department at HQ as well as the regional administration department (for controlling topics). This role will also manage projects within the department for the benefit of departmental processes and compliance with International business standards.

*Compensation for this position aligns with Arlington, VA - Headquarters*

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the Business partner for national departments and contact person for international departments
  • Monitor and analyze KPI’s, thereby identifying risks, errors, problems and improvement opportunities
  • Manipulate and interpret large sets of business data using the Business Intelligence Software
  • Design advanced reports and tools used by various areas in the business that would help improve decision making and overall performance of the business
  • Create country-specific reports and plan key indicators
  • Build relationships with the aim of enhancing department processes and output quality
  • Monitor detailed P&L analysis
  • Build and maintain the working relationship between HQ Controlling and the regional administration center, ensuring that HQ and International requirements are met
  • Strive to improve and optimize HQ & regional departmental controlling processes
  • Cultivate a culture of learning and knowledge extension in the department to better understand the “why” behind tasks and therefore increase efficiency
  • Compile standard reports and standard presentations according to defined reporting structures and KPIs as part of regular reporting and planning

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Sciences/Project Management
  • 3+ years of experience in related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and VBA skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual with a can-do attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and deliver accurate results
