Summary
The Loss Prevention Senior Specialist will reduce inventory losses across Lidl’s regional operations through auditing store and warehouse processes and procedures, analyzing trends, investigating loss and fraud, and reporting to the regional leadership team. Investigations will include, but not be limited to, on-site audits, one-on-one interviews, system analysis, CCTV review, and loss prevention reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Audit store and warehouse process and procedures related to inventory and loss prevention regularly including internal and external investigations
- Analyze inventory and loss trends for signs of possible fraud and manipulation and suggest process improvements
- Advise and assist operational teams on loss prevention measures to achieve inventory goals, such as policy and procedure compliance
- Conduct regional inventory analysis review meetings on a monthly basis
- Leads investigations, internal interviews, case file building, and participates in any resulting court hearings for internal theft and fraud
- Support and advise 3rd party security details for high risk stores during loss prevention audits or visits
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree in business-realated field or equivalent knowledge
- 3-5 years experience in retail or warehouse loss prevention and investigation or equivalent knowledge
- A nationally certified loss prevention or asset protection training program (ex. LPQ, LPC)
- Experience in collaborating with other inventory/loss prevention stakeholders, which includes leading interdepartmental meetings and developing action plans for loss prevention improvement
- Experience in monitoring CCTV to investigate theft and other loss incidents
- Experience in criminal investigations
- Proficiency in SAP
- High level of maturity, discretion, tact, judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions in stressful situations
- Excellent conflict management skills
- This position commutes between stores, regional offices/distribution centers 50-75% of the time within a day
- This position requires overnight domestic travel less than 50% of the time
- Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train
