Lidl US Logistics is seeking a Launch Manager who will support daily operations by participating in strategic planning, implementation of new tasks, systems, and projects. The Launch Manager will specifically support a number of our training/development programs and standardization programs for the US and will work in close collaboration with regional distribution centers to support processes and operations. This manager will support the launch of future regional distribution centers by organizing recruitment and training of new warehouse staff.

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for the management and execution of projects together with both national and international departments
  • Develop training concepts for both Regional and Headquarter positions
  • Project lead for interdepartmental projects that reduce costs and improve health and safety
  • Support future openings of Regional Distribution Centers
  • Develop complex statistical models to forecast labor and warehouse capacity requirements
  • Provide SAP EWM/SAP ERP/SAP SFL support to the regions
  • Monitor all control measures and create reports for the Logistics Director to review/present

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 2+ years of experience in related field, such as operations management and logistics, training, human resources.
  • In lieu of degree, 4+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
  • Ability to commute between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers up to 50% of the time 
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes and flow of goods
  • Health & safety in the workplace
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Leadership and people management skills
  • Experience organizing training and development programs
  • Experience opening new warehouses/distribution centers
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)
  • SAP EWM/SAP ERP knowledge
