Summary

Lidl US is seeking a Junior Operations Auditor who will be responsible for examining Lidl US processes and procedures used within the company to identify improvement potential. Operational audit examines how a company conducts its business, with the aim of increasing overall effectiveness and bringing customer-oriented results into motion to deliver added value.

 

**Company car will be provided as this role will commute between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers up to 50% of the time**

**Telework Policy allows for up to 5 days of work from home a week depending on business needs and manager discretion**

What You’ll Do

  • Visit Lidl US stores, Regional Distribution Centers and HQ departments to observe functionality and determine the level of adherence to established company standards
  • Perform fit gap analysis and identify potential risks in processes, procedures, and systems within the business
  • Submit audit reports to senior management which present recommendations for improving compliance with established standards
  • Ensure flow of information within assigned area and relevant departments
  • Monitor audit projects in relation to quality, adherence to deadlines, process optimization, and internal communication between departments
  • Follow up on measures from audited departments

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • In lieu of degree, 4+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
  • Valid US Driver’s license
  • Ability to commute between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers up to 50% of the time 
  • Interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with a long-term perspective
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex concepts
  • Excellent reporting skills including generating and analyzing
  • Ability to work proactively in researching business best-practice concepts in relation to auditing projects
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including the ability to handle competing priorities while still maintaining commitments to deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to change and flourish in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office applications 
  • German Fluency Preferred
