The Junior Accounts Manager contributes to the development of Lidl’s National Account strategy through detailed analysis, sourcing new vendors and holding contract negotiations. The successful candidate will start a 5-week training program which consists of a cross-departmental introduction, field assignments, and training in different parts of store construction and fit-out. This training will ensure that a solid knowledge of the business is built so that the Junior Accounts Manager can further the department’s goal of delivering best value, continuous innovation and the servicing the needs of Lidl’s customers.


**This position is Hybrid, requiring 3 days in office and 2 days working from home**

What You’ll Do

  • Negotiations and ongoing communication/coordination with exiting construction National Accounts
  • Support communications between construction teams and National Account Vendors in order to ensure stores are constructed within scheduled timeframes and budgets
  • Gather and prepare information (including costs and timelines) for various Executives, including Board members, on proposed projects in order to obtain initial and subsequent approvals
  • Analyze different construction products, materials and services, providing recommendations for new National Account Vendors
  • Carryout site quality control inspections and produce site verification and reports
  • Act as project lead on new internal projects as requested
  • Review and analyze construction drawings, designs, and create level comparisons
  • Update, maintain, and document meetings, contracts, and supporting documents

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar field 
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in related field 
  • In lieu of degree, 4+ years of experience in related field will meet the education requirements listed above
  • Knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, health and safety regulations
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assess situations and apply appropriate solutions as needed quickly and accurately
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
