Summary

Lidl US is seeking an IT Systems Administrator who will be responsible for the planning, engineering, and administering of IT related infrastructure, including the implementation and design of hardware and software according to the Lidl international standards. The role ensures security in cooperation with the Information Security Officer. The IT Systems Administrator works in different specialized fields, including server and datacenter management, databases and client and output management.

**This position is Remote eligible**

Employees classified as Fully Remote, must live and work within the states of: D.C., Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia, and Virginia

What You’ll Do

  • Active Directory administration
  • Windows Server and Linux management
  • Database administration and lifecycle management
  • Assign system access rights and installing software and hardware 
  • Design and deliver high quality documentations and regulations to ensure compliant and correct usage of new and existing IT systems in- and outside of the IT department
  • Adhere to internal service levels agreements and key performance indicators
  • Design and implement systems and structures to ensure high standards of quality, stability and consistency
  • Regard internal and external security guidelines to maintain a stable and secure IT environment
  • Provide qualified 2nd level support for systems and users in the organization in order to swiftly rectify incidents and problems of IT systems
  • Record incidents in the support tool for documentation and traceability purposes
  • Collaborate with International IT counterparts to ensure successful implementation of IT solutions

What You’ll Need

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3 - 5 experience in DBA
  • In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
  • Extensive Oracle & MSSQL database understanding
  • Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Windows Server and Client operating systems and MS Office
  • Ability to assess the impact of issues to appropriately escalate
  • Ability to clearly document issues and communicate clearly topics with associated stakeholders
  • Adaptability to work efficiently in a global environment
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and positive attitude when working with end business users/stakeholders
  • Ability to understand functional business requests and translate them into technical requirements
  • Experience analyzing process gaps and dependencies and identifying solutions
  • Experience identifying and optimizing business processes
  • Experience prioritizing and executing multiple project assignments and subsequent tasks in business impact context
  • Establish self as point of contact for assigned business stakeholder and own the relationship
