IT Specialist - Store Solutions

Summary

Lidl US is searching for the next IT Specialist - Store Solutions to join our IT Business Solutions team! The IT Specialist - Store Solutions contributes to business unit success by assisting in the evaluation, configuration, and adaptation of technical solutions. Serving as a link between IT and business units, this role tracks project progress to meet deadlines, monitors system performance, and supports process optimization and solution selection. The individual actively develops their knowledge to become a functional expert in Store Solutions.

What You’ll Do

Essential Functions
•    Supports project workflows, systems, and procedures to ensure consistent and efficient operations. 
•    Maintains and updates guidelines, standard operating procedures, and instructional materials.
•    Contributes to the identification and development of business and process improvement opportunities
•    Assists with national and international projects by documenting business requirements and performing system tests.
•    Executes assigned project tasks, including the delivery of functional specifications and testing efforts.
•    Collaborates with colleagues, vendors, and end users to ensure system compatibility and user satisfaction.
•    Tracks and communicates project progress, including timelines, milestones, and status updates.
•    Delivers qualified 2nd level support according to defined service levels, including on-call rotations.
•    Provides technical insight on assigned focus areas and assists with problem management initiatives.
•    Organizes personal workload and priorities to meet task deadlines and role responsibilities.
•    Remains flexible to perform ad-hoc work outside of normal business hours as needed.
•    Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 
•    Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Ability to work independently with excellent follow-through skills 
•    Proficient in Google Workspace Tools or related software
•    Foundational understanding of retail operations and basic accounting principles. 
•    Experience supporting project implementations and go-live activities.
•    Working knowledge of Process Modeling, XML and SQL

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences or related field
•    2+ years of experience in IT
•    2-4 years of experience in a related field
•    In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above

Physical Job Requirements 
•    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
•    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
