Summary

Lidl US is seeking for an Energy Manager, who will be leading Energy Management for all Lidl US properties. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving our energy management system, energy account strategies and vendor management. Additionally, you will be responsible for consumption and cost planning, and compliance with legal requirements.

What You’ll Do

•    You will oversee electricity, natural gas and water accounts and contract management for all Lidl US properties.
•    Ensuring that our existing energy management is maintained and identify improvement opportunities, which includes support and training for our Regional Facilities Managers.
•    Exploring and implementing renewable energy options
•    Implementing and improving energy monitoring, cost saving projects and energy efficiency
•    Lead and support cross departmental energy projects
•    Develop, monitor, and evaluate energy efficiency measures for stores, warehouses, and office buildings.
•    You will be responsible for managing the budget relating to energy consumption and efficiency projects.
•    Visualizing and communicating company-wide energy efficiency targets and Energy Performance Indicators.
•    Support and guide the Corporate Social Responsibility Department on energy related topics
•    Fulfill other projects as required

What You’ll Need

•    Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in a science related field or equivalent experience
•    Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
•    Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of groups such as peers, senior management, and outside contacts
•    Self-motivation and highly professional demeanor
•    Strong organizational, problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines
•    Ability to maneuver cases of product (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) up to 50 lbs. and reach above head to heights greater than 10 inches frequently in accordance with safety regulations
