Summary

Lidl US is currently seeking a Tax Director to join our Lidl US family. As the Director of Tax, you will be responsible for leading the tax team and working collaboratively as a leader with the US and Lidl International counterparts. You will oversee the implementation of US corporate tax policies and recommend ways to minimize corporate tax liability in compliance with tax laws and regulations.

 

**This position is Hybrid, requiring 3 days in office and 2 days working from home**

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the Head of Tax department by leading a team of tax professionals
  • Manage all aspects of state and federal income, franchise, property, sales & use
  • Develop internal control processes and ensure tax compliance
  • Oversee and review tax return preparation and ensure timely payment of taxes
  • Manage tax accounting for budgeting and annual financial statements
  • Perform tax analyses and provide support for operational processes and projects
  • Be a liaison for external tax advisors for all federal, state, and local tax matters
  • Analyze legislative and regulatory tax law developments to develop and communicate measures

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or Finance
  • CPA required
  • 6+ years of tax experience either in a corporate environment or combination of corporate and public accounting, of which 4+ years of management experience required
  • Strong knowledge of tax technical areas such as applicable federal and state corporate income tax, international tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing
  • Proven track record of introducing technical solutions (automation)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical thinking, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent prioritization and organizational skills
