Lidl US is looking for an Audio Visual and Communication Consultant who will be responsible for Audio Visual (A/V) and telephony topics and fit out of new properties in accordance with corporate standards. This individual will configure, repair and troubleshoot all audio-visual equipment to ensure optimal performance. This role oversees the RFP and negotiation process with external partners or distributors. The core focus areas include all audio/video conferencing and telephone solution not related to mobile provider, senior management event support, and vendor management.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure A/V & telephone solutions are operational and meet company requirements
  • Acts as subject matter expert for A/V and telephone solutions
  • Administer and support hosted VOIP system
  • Processing of user requests within the defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Cover day-to-day A/V assignments, respond to work requests from internal customers to assist with the proper set up, testing, operation and maintenance of the A/V system & equipment used in all conference rooms, etc.
  • Responsible for white-glove, in-person A/V support during executive meetings and conferences, when requested
  • Create and maintain corporate knowledgebase and inventory related to A/V and telephone solutions
  • Organize audio visual projects, including scheduling and implementation, within allocated budget and timeframe
  • Plan, co-ordinate and oversee audio visual activities and ensure equipment is operational and safe to use. Ensure that all facilities are set up within agreed deadlines, budget and in compliance with internal guidelines company standards
  • Ensure A/V equipment in good working order, such as recharging batteries, careful handling, and storage of equipment, keeping equipment clean and free of dust and moisture
  • Develop and update user-guides for A/V equipment, incl. coordination with the appropriate teams to display user-guides to end-users in physical and digital format

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in IT support and 2 years of experience in Audio/Visual and telephone support
  • Bachelor’s degree with technical focus required
  • In lieu of degree, a total number of 6 years of experience in Audio/Visual and telephone support will meet the education and related experience requirement listed above
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and multi-task across a broad spectrum of collaborators
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Outstanding self-tasking and self-management capabilities
  • Extended Knowledge of live sound signal flow; ability to troubleshoot integrated audio systems, track and update wireless microphone frequencies,
  • Good knowledge of IT environment and audio/IP technologies
  • Ability to efficiently operate, troubleshoot, and repair AV equipment in a timely manner
  • Good knowledge of main web conferencing services and unified communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, …)
  • Excellent knowledge of audio-visual systems (conferencing, sound, video, routing, automation, digital billboards)
  • Experience interpreting CAD drawing and blueprints
  • Experience in client support in the context of technical services provision. Capacity to understand and translate client needs into operational instructions
