Summary

Lidl US is seeking a Construction Analyst who will play a key role in the successful planning and build out of Lidl US Regional Distribution Centers. This individual will work collaboratively on a construction team and provide day-to-day support to the Sr. Project Manager. The Construction Analyst will be a main point of contact during the design and construction of our RDC’s and will lead meetings with internal and external partners. With support of the Sr. PM, the Construction Analyst will gain key skills and experience on field, leading construction meetings, and training to become a PM in the future. 

 

*The Analyst will relocate to various Lidl US sites on a project-to-project basis. Relocation package will be provided. *

*Telework policy allows for 2 days of work from home a week. *

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the eyes of Lidl US on construction sites, providing support to construction teams and ensuring quality control with general contractors
  • Facilitate coordination between construction site and corporate office and readily provide project updates to head office
  • Organize and review construction site documents and produce technical and financial analysis in support of project and business solutions
  • Conduct quality control on site, and report any delays observed
  • Assist with implementing cost effective equipment / material in the design of our buildings
  • Analyze construction processes and requirements and develop corresponding process and data flows
  • Prepare and organize training content for internal training courses

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or similar field
  • 1 – 2 years related experience preferred 
  • In lieu of degree, 4+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
  • Knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, health and safety regulations
  • Ability to learn technical aspects of the construction site
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Stellar verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
  • This position commutes between regional offices and/or distribution centers more than 50% of the time 
  • US Driver’s license
