Lidl US is seeking an Audio/Visual & Communications Consultant who will be the responsible for A/V and telephony topics, fit out of new properties, configuration, repairs, and troubleshooting of all A/V equipment. Core areas of support include all audio/video conferencing and telephone solutions not related to mobile provider, senior management event support, and vendor management. The consultant will also oversee the RFP and negotiation process with external partners and distributors.

What You’ll Do

  • Cover day-to-day A/V assignments and respond to work requests to assist with the proper set up, testing, operation and maintenance of the A/V system & equipment used in all conference rooms
  • Administer and support hosted VoIP system
  • Provide consulting services to internal departments and advice on best solution/configuration for events within corporate standards
  • Responsible for white-glove, in-person A/V support during executive meetings and conferences when requested
  • Problem resolution or escalation of support requests to the responsible person / department (internal team, global team and/or vendor) 
  • Provide consultation and support to regional distribution centers and property offices 
  • Create and maintain corporate knowledgebase related to A/V and telephone solutions
  • Create and maintain checklists and document procedures for internal and external teams
  • Organize audio visual projects, including scheduling and implementation, within allocated budget and timeframe
  • Maintain inventory of all A/V and telephony equipment 
  • Develop and update user-guides for A/V equipment in physical and digital format
  • Perform regular systematic evaluations of A/V and telephone equipment

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated knowledge and experience with of audio-visual systems (conferencing, sound, video, routing, automation) and support
  • In lieu of degree, a total number of 4 years of experience in Audio/Visual and telephone support will meet the education and related experience requirement listed above
  • Experience with Teleconference/event setup and support
  • Experience with unified communication platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, )
  • Experience interpreting CAD drawing and blueprints
  • This position commutes between stores, regional offices and/or distribution centers more than 35% of the time 
  • This position requires overnight domestic travel more than 35% of the time 
  • Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train
  • US Driver’s license
