Get to know Brittany, HR Manager
When did you start with Lidl US and what have you done with us so far?
I started in June 2015 and I liked that it was an international company expanding into the US. I knew that I would be able to put my stamp on the company and help build the talent acquisition team.
What did you do prior to joining Lidl US?
I attended Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts for undergrad. Before coming to Lidl US, I worked in the defense and security industry right here in Crystal City, Virginia. Prior to that, I worked in the radio industry where I dabbled in just about everything from human resources to payroll. Working in radio was very exciting because no day was the same and I got to meet many different people, including celebrities.
What have you done with Lidl so far?
For the past two years I have been working in talent acquisition and have helped build many processes and procedures in the recruitment process. I have helped build several teams throughout the business, including IT, HR, Legal and Compliance, and Accounting, Finance and Tax.
What makes you smile when you think about your work?
I enjoy bringing good people into the company who can really contribute to the success of Lidl in the United States.
I grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts, the birthplace of basketball.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I enjoy traveling and going to concerts. I try to go to about two concerts a month.
What is on your bucket list?
I would really like to attend the SXSW interactive, film, and music industry festival in Austin, Texas.
