Get to know Philippe, Senior Accounting Manager
When did you start with us and what attracted you to our company?
I started on July 20, 2015. The environment sounded very exciting - everything from the employees to management to what they were going to build in the US. I couldn't help but excited hearing about it. So when the opportunity came along, I could not pass it up!
What did you do prior to joining Lidl US?
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelors degree in accounting. I have 20+ years of progressive accounting experience. At my last position, I spent nine years at a hotel management company as an assistant accounting manager and accounting manager. Prior to that,I worked as an A/R manager and as a controller for several small businesses.
What have you done with us so far?
I helped transition the accounting department from an outside bookkeeper into SAP, helped establish new processes and continually improve current process, continually improve month-end closes, and helped staff the department with great employees!
What makes you smile when your think about your work?
I take great pride in making a difference in what I do in the company. It's rewarding to blaze a trail into something new and turning ideas into something tangible.
What advice do you have for prospective Lidl US candidates?

What do you enjoy outside of work?
Anything active! I love to practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and yoga. I love biking in the nice weather!
What is on your bucket list?
I have crazy urge to be skyscraper window washer in NYC for a week!
